Winter Solstice / Yule – December 18, 2010

Join us as we celebrate the Winter Solstice, also known as the Sabbat of Yule. Arrive at 7:30 p.m. for our community “Meet and Greet” and bring your musicial instruments. The sabbat ritual begins promptly at 8:30 p.m. and includes cakes and ale. We ask for a minimum $5.00 tax-deductible donation and that you bring a potluck dish to share during the feast after the ritual. We will also be decorating a Yule/Christmas tree within the ritual and would like to invite you all to bring an ornament to put on the tree for the ritual, which will be blessed along with all the ornaments during our ceremony, and afterwards, you can take your blessed ornament home with you for your own tree. If anyone wishes to come early and help us set up and decorate the tree, which we will be calling “The Wishing Tree”, you may come around 5:00 p.m. when the doors of the church will be open. Our raffle for this sabbat is currently being decided. Psychic readings with one of our experienced priests or priestesses will be available after the potluck. We will also have our coven t-shirts and tank tops available for a minimum donation of $13.00. If you are under 18 years old you must be accompanied by an adult. No filming or photography is allowed during the ceremony. If you are interested in vending at our event, please contact us at 305-265-2228.
